Lympley Lodge Apartment

NORTH WALES is famous for it's combination of seaside resorts, mountains and lakes. There are fine castles at Conwy, Caernarvon, and Beaumaris - all commenced by Edward 1 from about 1280. Caernarvon Castle is regarded as one of the finest examples in Britain. SNOWDON, the highest and finest mountain in the southern portion of Great Britain, has five peaks - although the name Snowdon is popularly reserved for the Wyddfa, the central and loftiest point, 3,560 feet above sea-level. There are five principal paths to the summit, with varying ease. There is the famous Mountain Railway - Britain's highest rack railway, which has been running since 1896. On a clear day, the view extends to Ireland, the Isle of Man, and heights in Cumberland.
In addition, there are houses and gardens administered by The National Trust, and Portmeirion Village - created by the architect Clough Williams - Ellis from 1925 to 1976 with 70 acres of woodland, and with miles of woodland and coastal walks.
There are also several "narrow gauge" railways powered by industrial steam and diesel loco's to delight both young and old!
